oh my gosh well i definitely FAILED at posting every week!  howeverrrrr i just got some new pieces recently that i had to share --

definitely got inspired to buy this from a british beauty\fashion guru i follow on youtube.. it's just so fresh for spring & will actually make me look like i spent time on my hair!  

freeway knit shorts: gigi bottega

this looks like a skirt, but it's actually a pair of shorts that i got from gigi bottega, a boutique near ISU.  i am in LOVE with them!  normally i never buy shorts, but i saw these & immediately knew what i'd pair them with - a tight white shirt & oxford shoes [which i still have to purchase!]  & since the outfit will be so neutral, i can go crazy with colorful accessories!

happy new year! [only 10 days late..]

happy new year!  i can't believe it's been over 2 months since i posted last.  i'm not really sure why, either.  i think it's because i really wasn't feeling inspired, but i am going to start up again!

i love hats, and never really thought i would!  but there's just something about a slouchy beanie or a fedora that just completes a look.  not to mention they can cover up a bad hair day in a flash.  at my internship they know me as "hat girl" since 9 times out of 10 i'm wearing a hat when i come in.. little do they know i'm just too lazy to do my hair [=  but here are some super cute examples of styles i love!

very burberry.

happy tuesday! [and november 1st.. which to me means being excited for christmas is perfectly acceptable!]

i have always wanted a burberry cashmere scarf.. the pattern is iconic, and anything cashmere is just to die for.  i do have a knock-off one from kohl's, but it's just not like the real thing --

whenever i go shopping in downtown chicago i always make my friends go into the burberry store with me.  of course i always walk out empty handed, considering the scarf i want is $375.  

i've said it once and i'll say it again.. WHY do i have such expensive taste!?

as you all know, i'm obsessed with AKIRA, so naturally i follow them on facebook.  they just posted these fabulous shoes --

i think they definitely take a cue from the 50's, especially with the ankle strap and the peep toe.

i'm totally picturing these with dark-wash skinny jeans, a white-and-navy striped boat neck tee, and gold jewelry.

feathers.. still obsessed!

i am still obsessed with anything feathers!  i currently have 3 pairs of feather earrings-, feathers in my hair AND a clip in peacock feather.. obsession?  maybe..

this pair just might be my favorite.. yes to some of you they may be obnoxious, but how awesome would they look with your hair down, a solid top and jeans?  or a simple dress!?

i think that this trend will be around for awhile.  they're an easy and inexpensive way to add character to an outfit and there are endless possibilities of color combinations, lengths, and types.  plus every time i've worn my feather earrings i've gotten tons of compliments which is always a great mood-booster!

swarovski + louboutin = perfection!

these shoes are by christian louboutin and i honestly have no words for them other than OH MY GOD.  while trying to find a good picture, i found a video on youtube which i think is better than a still..

apparently these are "knock-offs" and that the rhinestones were glued on by the person that took this video, but who cares?  you understand the point i am trying to make -- that these shoes are un-fricken-believable!  however, they cost an unbelievable amount -- over $4,000.
